Choice in Practice

Learning about choice, and implementing it in my own classroom, made me curious to see how other teachers felt about choice.  I also wanted to know in what ways, if any, do they already use choice.  It was very interesting to see the result from my surveys about this topic.  Most of the teachers are giving their students choice by allowing them to have chose their book for independent reading time.  They expressed their hesitations for incorporating choice into their lessons, but all would like to learn more about giving their students more choice in different content areas.  In this needs assessment, I developed professional development sessions for the teachers.
